Can Ren’s bad boy heart
be wooed and won?

Blurb

Ren Moretti likes his life—and his hookups—just the way
they are: fast and loose.

He only ever hooks up with someone once, and
relationships? Forget it. Never gonna happen. No guy has ever persuaded him to bend,
break, or alter his one date and one night rule.

Until Seth Abramson.

Seth has always tempted Ren—but it’s not a secret that
Seth won’t settle for just one night. A few dates won’t cut it, and he’s not interested in
playing around. He wants it all, and he intends to win Ren’s heart.

But that’s the one thing Ren’s never given up. He guards it
closely and fiercely, until one day, when he realizes it’s no longer his to protect, it’s belonged
to Seth all along.

Excerpt

“You gonna order?” Ren asked. Hoping that he
understood exactly what he meant. And he wasn’t talking about sandwiches.

“Oh yeah, I definitely am,” Seth said, and Ren’s
stomach fluttered.

There was something so decisive and grown up
about this guy.

Like he’d throw Ren over his shoulder and cart him
back to his bedroom.

“What can I get you?” Ren asked.

Me. I can get you me. And you’d enjoy every
second of it. Trust me. I’m delicious.

“That’s a real good question,” Seth said.

“I’m going to get lunch,” Lennox announced, and
nobody was surprised to see him head off towards Ash’s food truck.

“Well, if you want a recommendation,” Gabe said,
and Ren wished that his cousin would go do anything else right now, “you can’t go
wrong with the Thai meatball crunch wrap.”

“Does everything have balls or buns?” Seth wanted
to know.

Oh, Ren wanted to show him.

So badly that he deployed the smile that he usually
saved for closing the deal. But then, he was closing the deal right now, wasn’t he? He could
feel it in his bones.

Specifically one bone in particular.

“Yes,” Ren said.

“Straightforward,” Seth said, taking a step nearer, and
now Ren could really get a good look at him. He was even sexier in higher definition and
he’d made Ren’s mouth water even without the close-up look. “I like it.”

“See anything else you like?” Ren decided there was
no point in delaying. They were both clearly interested. “Lucky for you, I just happen to be
free tonight.”

Somehow, impossibly, Seth’s own closing smile was
even more devastating than Ren’s own.

Ren was unmoored. Blown away. Blown
apart.

What would it be like to be under him, when he
smiled like that?

What would it feel like to kiss that smile off
him?

He was going to get to find out. Ren could feel it.
Could nearly taste it.

Really straightforward,” Seth said, not
sounding like he hated that at all.

“Why bother pretending that you don’t just want a
sandwich?” Ren shrugged. “We’re both interested. I’m free tonight, and I know we’d both
enjoy ourselves.”

“What about tomorrow, then?”

Ren had learned the hard way that it was better to
always be honest about his intentions. But this guy, even if he didn’t do one-night
stands, was so hooked that Ren knew there was no way he’d ever turn him
down.

Ren could feel the other side of the hook, buried in
him, tugging him even closer, and he dared anyone to try to resist that completely
irresistible pull.

“What about tomorrow?” Ren asked archly.
“Why do we have to worry about tomorrow?”

“I’m all about the tomorrows,” he admitted with a
shrug. “I’m not here for just the tonights. I want to know there’s going to be a tomorrow,
too.”

Ren frowned. “I don’t do tomorrows. Not
when tonights are so freaking great.”

“Then I guess I’ll have to make do with just a
sandwich.” Seth sounded genuinely regretful, which was why Ren didn’t even register the
rejection right away. He’d been so goddamned nice about it. Like he hadn’t wanted to
say no.

In wine, truth. In
vineyard… mystery.

Blurb

Local police summon retired CTO Geraldine Thorn from her
Austin lake house to Kitsch, Texas, the small town where she grew up, when her beloved
Aunt Tilda is found dead at her vineyard home, presumably from a slip in the bath. Upon
arrival, Gerry discovers Tilda’s eclectic group of friends—including a much, much younger
lover—and rivals. When they realize Tilda’s slip wasn’t an accident, Gerry enlists the help of
a handsome Texas Ranger with secrets of his own.

Excerpt

“Howdy. Ms. Geraldine Thorn? This is Sgt. Hale Alexander
with the Texas Ranger Division Company F.” Hale’s voice was a pleasantly raspy tenor with a
thick East Texas drawl. “The Arguello County PD requested my assistance with a mysterious
death. A Lt. Klaus gave me this number. He said, and I quote, ‘May you have the joy of her,’
and washed his hands of this affair. Don’t think you’ve got a fan, ma’am.”

“I’m friendlier when I’m not upset about my aunt dying.”
Gerry felt a pang of frustration, but she appreciated that this guy sounded like he’d be
reasonable. “I appreciate you looking into this. Things aren’t adding up.”

“Well, ma’am, this is highly irregular, involving the Rangers
in this kind of thing, but I’m on my way to Kitsch now from Waco, and we’ll see what there is
to see. The autopsy report had some discrepancies, so your gut may hold true. Don’t go
quotin’ me on that, all right?” Hale cussed under his breath, and the sound of a car horn
interrupted their conversation.

Sounding calmer, he resumed, “Anyhow, I’m gonna have to
view the body before she’s laid to rest, if that’s all right with you, ma’am. I understand
you’re gonna wanna get closure, put her in the ground soon’s you can, but this is
important.”

“Of course. I just came from the funeral home, I can let
them know to hold off picking her up.” She paused and looked up and down the street. “Is
there any way I could join you? I just want to… I think if I saw her with my own eyes it would
help me wrap my head around what happened.”

Discrepancies. That sounded… positive? Not exactly that,
but it was nice to hear that she wasn’t totally losing it. “If she’d had too much wine and
slipped in the tub— that would make sense, but opioids? I just… and there’s a young man,
and… there are things that don’t add up. I want to do right by my aunt.”

“That’s admirable, ma’am. But are you sure you wanna see
your aunt in that state? She’s been autopsied, and she’ll be nekkid as a jaybird on that slab.
It’s gonna stay with you.” Hale didn’t shoot her down, which was something. If anything, he
sounded supportive. There was a steadying warmth in his tone even over the
phone.

“She wouldn’t like my delicate sensibilities getting in the
way of finding out what happened if someone did this to her.” Seeing Tilda’s body wasn’t
something she was looking forward to, but she needed to know. “I’ll be all right.”

“All right then, ma’am. Text me your address to this
number, and I’ll swing ’round and nab you. You’re not gonna wanna drive after. I’m an hour
out.” Hale’s drawl was comforting. While Gerry wasn’t really a small-town girl, she had a
feeling Hale’s good ole boy persona would play well in Kitsch, and no one was going to turn
away a Ranger’s inquiries.

“I’m already downtown. I can…” She looked around and
then shrugged to head to her car. “I’ll just go home, and text you the address. It’s on a
vineyard, so it’s a little out of town, but I imagine an investigator shouldn’t have too hard a
time finding it. Thanks.”

An Olympic hero faces his longest run – to make up for the past.

Blurb

Alex Schaefer is a sports journalist and commentator at the top of his game. He hosts a successful weekly podcast has just written the biography of a world class football player. With his career on an upward trajectory, Alex has never been busier. There is no time in his life for love or romance.

Ethan Bower was used to success. As a British sprinter, he won a host of silver and gold medals at the Olympics, European and Commonwealth championships, and spent over a decade at the top. Persistent injuries brought Ethan’s career to an abrupt halt in his mid-thirties. Now he has to start over again. Trying to get his foot in the door of athletics commentary and presenting isn’t easy.

Ethan and Alex have history. Eight years ago, at the height of Ethan’s success, Alex was chosen to ghost write his autobiography. An experience they would both rather forget. Ethan hated what Alex wrote about him; a fact he’s made very public. When Ethan attends the launch of Alex’s latest book, they meet again for the first time in years and something becomes apparent to both of them – they have each improved with age. Now in their thirties, they are older and more mature.

Can they put the past behind them and their ambitions for the future to take a chance on each other now?

Excerpt

Alex held back a moment, observing. Ethan was taller than he remembered, and with the increased bulk across his shoulders, he had a very statuesque physique. His clothes looked well made, and he wore them well. Something stirred within Alex, an excitement that caused his whole body to tingle and concentrate in his groin. Ethan Bower roused him in a way he would never have thought possible.

Alex knew that attraction would die in seconds if Ethan was the same bullish prick he used to know.

Only one way to find out.

“Hello, Ethan,” he said, stepping up beside him. “It’s been a long time.”

As Ethan turned to look at him, there was uncertainty on his face just for a second before his mouth spread into a wide grin. There were short dimples which cut into his cheeks when he smiled—Alex had forgotten about those—and he had a day’s worth of stubble on his chin, which suited him a lot. Any more would give away his natural ginger colouring, which the careful highlights in his hair tried to disguise.

“Alex,” he said, shoving out his hand. “Congratulations. I had no idea you were involved in the book until I arrived.”

He pumped Alex’s hand harder than necessary. Over-compensating? Nervous? Ethan had never struck him as a man who suffered from social anxiety, but the way he grabbed his drink off the bar and knocked off a third of it in one go suggested that maybe he was.

Or he’s pissed off to see me and too polite to say so.

“You’re looking good. I was sorry to hear about all the injuries. I thought you’d be good for one more round of medals.”

Ethan shrugged. “They come to all of us. You can’t push your body so hard for all those years and not expect consequences. It would be nice to have added another Olympics to the tally, but it is what is. I can’t do anything about it now.”

Alex’s gaze was drawn to Ethan’s stunning green eyes. Shit. How could he have forgotten about those? They were mesmerizing. There had definitely been a change in his face since they’d seen each other last. There were deep lines around his eyes and the corners of his mouth and there could even be a touch of grey in the hair around his ears. Alex realised he had known Ethan when he was still a boy. The person who stood in front of him now was all man.

“It’s nice to run into you after all this time,” Alex said. “I had no idea who was coming tonight.”

Those green eyes looked deep into his. “Are you kidding? I won’t miss it. This is going to the biggest sports book of the year. Everyone is interested in Fernando’s story. Not just here, but worldwide. You’re onto a real winner with this one.”

Alex shrugged. “It’s his story, not mine. I just helped to put it on the page for him.”

“Did Fernando seek you out personally? I kind of think he must have. None of those straight dude football writers could tell it with the authenticity of another gay man.”

“He did. For that very reason, I think. He felt more comfortable talking to a gay writer. The publishers were torn. They wanted either a much bigger name or an anonymous ghost writer who would do what they were told and wouldn’t ask for credit.”

Ethan gave a soft laugh. “You mean like my book?”

“Those were different times.”

“I guess so. And we were different people. I know I was.”

Could this be true? Was Ethan admitting he’d been an arsehole in his younger days? “Everyone is different in their twenties. I don’t think we really grow up until we’re around thirty. Look at Fernando. He was twenty-nine when he finally came out, despite knowing he was gay all of his life.”

Ethan nodded and took another sip of his drink. “Everything turns out all right in the end, I suppose.”

Excerpt from First Kiss

“Hello?”

Josh rushed into the hallway and ploughed into Charlie.

“Umph!” Charlie dropped his bag with a thump, then slid
his arms around Josh’s waist, one reaching up to rub his back. “Hi, J,” he whispered.

Josh didn’t say anything. Charlie hadn’t realised exactly
how much he had missed him until he’d come back through the door. The same for Josh if
how tight he was holding him was anything to go by. Josh squeezed him tighter. A throat
cleared but they ignored it. Josh burrowed his face into Charlie’s neck. “I love you,” he
whispered so quietly, Charlie wasn’t sure if he’d heard right.

Charlie’s body started shaking. Josh pulled back a little to
look at him, and Charlie realised he was crying. Josh cupped his cheeks, wiping the tears
with his fingers. “Is that okay?”

Charlie nodded as more tears fell.

“Why have you made my boy cry?” Josh got pushed aside
as their mum took his place, pulling Charlie into a hug. “Are you okay, sweetheart? What did
he say to upset you?” His mum looked at Josh, eyes narrowed. “You better have a good
explanation, young man.”

Josh straightened, looked her in the eye and said, “I told
him I loved him.”

There was a beat of silence then his mum burst into tears,
hugging them both tight, mumbling words he couldn’t understand. He was hoping they

were happy tears too. But he wasn’t sure.

His mum pulled away after a minute and pulled them into
the living room. She pushed them both down onto the sofa and she sat on the coffee table
facing them. She looked at Josh. “You love him?”

Josh nodded. “With everything I am.” He wrapped his arm
around Charlie’s shoulder.

His mum looked at Charlie. “What about you?”

Charlie nodded. “I love him.” Then he turned to Josh, “I
love you.” A lone tear dripped down his cheek, which Josh wiped away.

His mum clasped her hands to her mouth and laughed.
“I’m so happy for you both.” She looked at them tenderly for a moment, then her face
became serious. “You’re going to have many problems, my beautiful boys. There will be
people out there,” she pointed out the window, “who will try to bring you down with their
hate. You must stay strong. Believe in each other.

About the Author

I am Elouise East but feel free
to call me Elli. I write sweet and steamy connections in gay romance. I also touch on taboo
stories under the name Elouise R East.

Books that tell the stories
where friendship and family are the focal point – be it blood family or chosen – is very
important to me. That’s why I include a variety of personalities, talents, ages, situations and
abilities as I believe a story needs, or a character needs. I want my characters to be real, to
be relatable, to be free to have whatever views they tell me they have. And trust me, most
of the time, I do not have
any say in the matter!

My characters come to life on
the page for me as well as my readers. Their stories unfold in front of me, and I have very
little input into how they want to be shown. Just like real life, the lives of my characters
change with every choice, every interaction and every conversation. And I wouldn’t have it
any other way.

I write books that are
emotionally realistic, even if liberties are taken with other aspects of my stories. I don’t
know any other way to write. It comes from deep inside.

Who am I? A single parent to
two children who make life worth living. An avid reader who still devours every book she can
get her hands on. A student of learning about any subject that takes her fancy. An author of
books she would read herself. And a romantic at heart who loves anything cheesy.

MM Paranormal Romance.

Excerpt

Letting my senses guide me, I came upon a small grouping of cabins that surrounded a lake,
just like the sign promised. It was so far removed from where I’d turned off the main road
that I couldn’t believe there could be a human out here. But there was.

I was slammed from behind and tumbled toward the ground but managed to land on my
feet before spinning to face whatever had attacked me.

Before me crouched a vampire who appeared to have been feeding to the point of being
blood crazed. He had no control over his instincts at this point and was consumed with the
need to feed, and by the way he bared his teeth at me, he didn’t know any better than to try
to feed on me. His face was partially hidden from view by the hood of his jacket,
and what looked like a stocking hat pulled down low.

“Stand down, vampire, or I will end you.” I readied for his attack that I knew would come. He
was far past caring about consequences and believe me, there would be consequences.

He snarled and attacked; grabbing my hair and running up the trunk of a tree, he ripped my
head back. Twisting around, I tore myself from his grip and stood on his back as I pressed
him into the snow.

“Get off me or you will die.” He fought, even though he knew he would not win. The
madness that overtook him left him unreasonable to a point he would not be saved, and I
grunted as he heaved me off him and against a tree.

He was up in a flash charging at me again. “Must feed,” he screamed, his hands curled into

claws as he charged. I spun as he reached me and pulled the knife from my waistband.
Though it only left him off balance for a split-second, it was enough to give me the
advantage. When he attacked again, I spun the knife and plunged it into his heart. It wasn’t
enough to destroy him, but it would injure him.

He screamed in pain before running off into the woods. Fuck, why did it always have to be
so hard?

Blurb

Dear Santa,

I’m going to be upfront and tell you that I feel silly doing
this, but here goes nothing!

I’ve realised that I lean more towards being a Daddy, than a
strict Dom. I’m kind and caring, and I want someone to spoil. I’ll always put my boy’s needs
before my own. I’ll take care of him in every way he needs me to. I’ll discover what he
wants, how to make him smile, laugh, and moan

As for what I’m looking for in a boy… I’d like someone who
wants to feel special, and who enjoys being held by his Daddy. If I had to choose between a
naughty or nice boy, I think I’d choose nice. I can put a naughty boy through boot camp, but
I’d much rather praise a good boy.

What I really want, Santa, is someone to cherish this
Christmas. I hope that’s not too much to ask for.

Sincerely,

ExCombatDaddy

His Boy to Cherish is an M/M winter romance with a disabled first-time Daddy, a little who loves
stuffies, a twelve-year age-gap, nappies, a loud-mouth best friend, some familiar faces, and
a lot of feels.

His Boy to Cherish is part of the Naughty or Nice Season
Two
multi-author series. Each book can be read
as a standalone, but there are so many Daddies looking for some holiday magic to bring
them their perfect boys, why not grab them all?

Excerpt

“Do you want to come in?” I asked.

“Not tonight.”

I must have looked disappointed because he cupped my cheek in his hand and smiled at me

warmly.

“I had a really good evening, little bird. I’d like to see you again.”

“You would? Really?” There I went, sounding like a desperate idiot.

He chuckled. “Really. But you need to know that I’ve only just realised I’m a Daddy. The
caring and nurturing aspects of being a Daddy Dom appeal to me far more than bondage
and impact play. I’ve done those things at a club, but I like cuddling and taking care of the
man I’m with.”

“I got that from your letter.”

“What I’m trying to say is that I’ve never been a Daddy to a little before.”

I should have known this was coming. He’d said he wanted to see me again, but maybe he
was going to ask me to agree not to be little when we were together.

He stroked my cheek with his thumb. “I like you, little bird. Can you be patient with me
while I learn how to be the Daddy you deserve?”

My eyes grew wide as saucers. “I…” Had he said what I thought he had?

“I’ll let you think about it,” he said. “I’ll message you tomorrow if that’s okay?”

I nodded. My head was spinning. He leant close, his lips pressing to mine ever so softly.
When I didn’t pull away, he increased the pressure of the kiss. His thumb brushed my cheek,
and his fingers stroked my neck. His kiss was tender and sweet, and it turned my legs to jelly.

“Good night, little bird,” he said before kissing my forehead. “Hopefully, I’ll see you again
soon.”

Excerpt – Nicola POV

I took the chair across from the slender, silver-haired older man with an uneasy smile.
“Good evening, Zio.”

“Nicola, you’re looking,” he scrutinized my appearance especially considering I had worn
jeans compared to his thousands of dollars bespoke suit, “underfed.” He waved at someone
behind me, and a bowl of the same soup Don Athos was eating appeared before me.

“Thank you, Zio.” Now that the food was in front of me, I realized I was famished. I didn’t
remember if I had eaten today. I picked up a spoon and took a bite of the hearty vegetable
soup.

“Your mother is worried about you.”

I snorted and finished my mouthful before speaking. “My mother is only worried about the

money I send her.” My mother wasn’t Don Athos’s sister, but our family had worked for the
Stagliano family for many generations. I grew up at the country estate with my brother and
cousins, calling Don Athos uncle.

“Don’t disrespect your mother, boy.” Despite Don Athos nearing seventy, he was still a
formidable man and not one to trifle with even if you didn’t know he was one of the most
powerful men in the world.

“I’m sorry, Zio.” I looked intently at my soup and took another bite. “Is she well?” I asked
after the silence continued.

“She is fine, just worried about her only remaining son.” He paused again. I was sure for
dramatic effect. There must be a school people like the capi went to that taught you how to
look intimidating when speaking and how to make grandiose speeches. “She tells me that
you took another trip out of the country.”

I nodded in confirmation because it was pointless to deny it. If he was coming to me with
this, he already knew where I was. I tore a piece of bread off the loaf on the table and
dipped it into the remaining bits of soup.

“I have told you to stop looking into the bombing. It is done and over. Nothing will come of
continuing down this road.” Don Athos’s voice softened. “Nico, I know you loved your
brother, and I am saddened by his loss as well as the loss of my son, may God rest their
souls, but he wouldn’t want you to continue on this way. He’d want you to finish school and
start your life the way you should have.”

“Zio, I’m so close to finding him. I finally know who bombed the hotel. And if I can just locate
them.” I leaned forward in my seat. I refused to believe that Enzo was dead. I couldn’t,
wouldn’t believe it until I heard it from the horse’s mouth.

“Stupido, do you think we don’t know who did it?” Don Athos whisper-yelled to not draw
more attention to our discussion. “Of course, we know.”

“Then why haven’t you asked The Assassins’ Guild about the abnormality in the account
about my brother or who hired them in the first place?” I tried to restrain myself from
raising my voice as I boldly called out the organization’s name that was only whispered of
like the Boogieman.

“You don’t understand, boy. You don’t just ask The Assassins’ Guild questions, and you never
ask who hired them. It’s a fool’s errand.” If I didn’t know him better, I’d say that he looked
scared just talking about them.

Demons are expected to
hate the Imperian, but what if he’s your mate?

Blurb

Praetor Sashati Soriandras is adjusting to his wonderful
new life as part of the Council of Sorcery and Shifters. His new leader’s choice to leave the
demonic realm gained Sashati’s immediate approval. There is nothing there but dark

memories and a horrible legend about the butcher who ripped magic from the demons a
millennium ago.

After being banished to a tiny realm, Imperian
Paszratorabiel—or Paszra, as he prefers to be called—is waiting for his wings to grow back.
The minute he recovers, Paszra hunts for a place to bring his family so they can find mates.
When Paszra finds a planet full of interesting beings, the presence of demons is the only
thing he hates about his potential new home.

When Sashati and Paszra meet, neither man is happy to
learn they are mates. The demons blame Paszra for everything, while the Imperian despises
Sashati’s people. However, they share a tradition of not denying Fate. But to honor the way
their souls are connected, Paszra and Sashati must overcome much more than their initial
dislike of each other.

Excerpt

After they arrived in their office space, Sashati sprawled in
his office chair and opened the book Arch Lich Chander Daray had suggested would further
his education on the Council.

“Reading again?” Diyarta asked. Once forced into teaching,
Diyarta had left that life behind her for good. Her preference was to be in a gym sweating
rather than burying her nose in between pages.

“I’m an advisor to our leader. I cannot function in that role
if I don’t fully understand the Council.”

“Are you suggesting that I’m failing in my role as advisor?”
Diyarta asked.

“I believe we have different strengths. You have the ear of
the demons. You can advise Hexaniys on how to improve their lives. They are strangers to
me and him. In our former realm and here in the Council, advisors have areas of expertise. If
we were to study the same thing, our voices would be redundant.”

“You were so wasted as a guard in that palace,” Diyarta
remarked.

“As long as I never have to return to such a role, I will have
no complaints.”

“The same cannot be said for our people. You want to be
an expert on the Council, but you cannot forget your place. Hexaniys lives with the Darays
because he is one now. You are not. Hexaniys is safe surrounded by sentinels.”

“So are the demons,” Sashati replied. “They live in the
Daray Sentinel Complex.”

“It is a temporary home, or at least it was supposed to be, I
believed. They want to embrace being demons, not be forced into training and the things
that sentinels love simply because the Imperator is mated to one.”

“No one has asked them to train. I do it because I like
it.”

“As do I,” Diyarta said.

“One reason the complex suits them is because of the
many classes the sentinels offer in the evenings and on weekends. It was supposed to be an
avenue for the demons to learn about the Council and to find something to give their lives
purpose. Instead, they shop and rest in their apartments. They will go to restaurants for
meals but not to the sentinels’ cafeteria.”

“I told you, they fear being lumped in with the
sentinels.”

“They must find hobbies at the very least,” Sashati
replied.

“They are recovering from the atrocities they’ve
endured.”

“Diyarta, they refuse to even explain what happened while
we were here at the behest of Masal’akra. How are we to help them if they will not discuss
the war?”

“Perhaps when the wounds are not so fresh, they’ll be
more forthcoming.”

“It has been many weeks,” Sashati said.

“They worry about you living with Hexaniys among the
sentinel leadership.”

It was a cause of disagreement that had slowly grown
between Sashati and Diyarta. The demons supposedly wanted Sashati to live among them,
but Hexaniys and the Darays had offered bedrooms to Sashati and Diyarta. His fellow
praetor had refused the invitation and gone to the Daray Sentinel Complex.

Sashati was torn between the two places and didn’t know if
he was right to stay near Hexaniys, but the demon refused to be dictated to by anyone. That
was a life they’d left behind, and the new Imperator gave them plenty of space to make
decisions for themselves. The problem, as far as Sashati could see it, was that the demons

wanted to do nothing. They spent money and complained to Diyarta instead of exploring
the Council.

“The guards of other leaders often elect to share homes or
land with them,” Sashati said.

“Demons must find their own path.”

“I’m entitled to do what I choose.”

“Just don’t forget that you’re a demon.”

“How could I ever do that?” Sashati asked.

“It’s easy to get swept away into this world of sorcery and
shifters, even though we differ from the others in this world. Our power is lost, and we must
never forget how that came to be or that there is no ability to regain it.”

“My hatred for the Imperian burns as brightly as it has
since the first time I heard his name,” Sashati growled. The Imperian inspired rage in him like
nothing else could, and he doubted any demon lamented the loss of their magic more than
Sashati. There was so much of it around them, and it pissed Sashati off to think that if it
weren’t for a single man, he’d be casting spells alongside his new allies.

“I wish I had been alive in those days. I would’ve slit his
throat myself.”

“Get in line, Diyarta,” Sashati retorted.
