Excerpt from ‘The Bandalore-Pitch & Sickle Book One’

A rather pretty gentleman, sharp featured, pale and fine,
stepped into the room with a flourish of raised hands. His tousled light brown hair was wild
about his shoulders, and his eyes so green it was as though emeralds had been pressed into
the sockets. ‘Let the amusements begin…or should I say…continue.’

His velvet coat, a red almost as bold as the woman’s lips,
was unbuttoned, revealing a black shirt with a silver brocade of Chinese dragons upon it. An
elaborate ruffling of silk tumbled from the collar and covered a good portion of his chest. His
choice of trousers was equally curious, a rather outdated fall-front style in black silk.

The baron groaned, but his smile was ever-present. ‘Good
god, man, we thought you two would never be done.’

‘Perfection takes time, does it not?’

‘Take your seat, you rascal, and stop your showmanship, at
least just for a moment.’

Silas scratched his right palm absently, attempting to stymie
the prickle. Like many things about himself he wasn’t certain of his age, his late twenties was
likely, much the same as the man who had just swept into the room.

Mr Astaroth tilted his head, pursing lips that held a near-
perfect Cupid’s bow. ‘Am I to stand aside so another showman can perform?’

‘Exactly,’ the baron declared.

As Mr Astaroth made his way to his seat with his
companion, he had a notable effect on those in attendance. The ladies all at once seemed
incapable of deciding how they should adjust their gowns upon their seats, and the men
were equally as fidgety. All of them were fixated on Mr Astaroth’s procession across the
room. The man had not spared Silas a glance yet, even when he was deriding him, and Silas
had no issue with that at all. He was not sure he’d enjoy the pierce of those green eyes upon
him. But he could not deny there was indeed something mesmerising about the lad, the
sway of his hips, the coiled tension in his body that gave the impression he might suddenly
leap unannounced in any direction.

Mr Astaroth stopped to take a glass of champagne from the
tray offered by a somewhat flustered young footman. The liquid wobbled in its crystal
confines, and the boy’s eyes darted so quickly between the floor and the man before him, it
was as though he’d lost control of his eyeballs.

‘Thank you, kind sir. What a wonderful job you do.’ Mr
Astaroth’s smile was discomfortingly suggestive, his whispered appreciation of the boy’s
offering far too intimate, and the serving boy nearly stumbled over his own feet to move
away.

Mr Astaroth was slender, not remarkable in height, and the
angles of his face were delicate to the point of being feminine, but he held a presence that
quite overwhelmed the room. Silas’s gaze moved down the length of the man’s body to his
feet. He wore heeled boots, which meant he was shorter than first impressions allowed. The
glean of polished leather distracted Silas from what became startlingly obvious a moment
later. He tensed and closed his eyes a second, as though that might change things. But alas it
was not to be.

The ground at Tobias Astaroth’s feet held no
shadow.

Whoever this man was, he was not, for all intents and
purposes, human. Silas took hold of the arms of the chair, filled with the sudden desire to
depart. No one had thought to instruct him on an encounter such as this.

‘Stop frightening the help and get your arse on a chair,’
declared the bespectacled man at Silas’s left. ‘We know how you hate to have attention
diverted from you, so do try and behave, Pitch old boy.’

Evidently the group knew the man well enough to have
endowed him with a nickname. Silas could only imagine its origins.

‘Oh Brenton,’ Victoria, Mr Astaroth’s companion, said. ‘As
far as I’m concerned, Tobias has been on his best behaviour all evening.’ She had taken her
seat and leaned her elbows upon the table, utterly at ease.

‘Thank you, my dear,’ Mr Astaroth said. ‘You are as sensible
as you are extremely talented in the art of, what were we calling it? Tarot reading.’ He tilted
his glass towards her before turning to Silas. The air quite vanished from Silas’s lungs
beneath the daggers of his emerald stare. ‘How very nice to make your acquaintance, Mr
Mercer. I do hope we are in for a wonderful show.’

Blurb

Fear can open doors we never dreamt
possible.

Shaun Moseley is in a trap and it’s all his brother, Liam’ s
fault.

Living a normal life running a B&B in Blackpool, he
finds himself right in the middle of a gang turf war in Manchester. Shaun is an alien in this
horrifying new world of drugs, guns and violence.

Shaun rebels against everyone, isolating himself in the
process. But a terrifying experience opens his eyes to gang member Enzo Ponti. Shaun may
be trapped for the time being, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a little fun along the way,
right?

He dismissed Enzo as just another hired killer but when he
scratches the surface, he finds much more there.

But evil gangster, Jonny Wellingham, wants revenge on the
gang and has set his sights on Shaun. Can he live long enough to find just how deep Enzo’ s
waters are?

Excerpt from Everything Changes

They stood side by side, watching some birds flocking over the
reservoir.

“When I was in a yoga retreat in Kathmandu, they had all sorts
of gay-coloured birds,” Shaun said. “All we have are shitty brown things.”

He kicked a stone.

“I’ve seen you doing your yoga,” Enzo said. “Did you learn it on
your travels? You should come and do some weights with me and Giovanni. It would be far
more beneficial than getting yourself into silly poses.”

“Have you been perving over me then?”

Enzo reddened. “It’s not a big house. You can’t help it.”

Shaun regretted his big mouth. Enzo had done something kind
for him and he should make an effort not to shoot him down every time he tried to speak.
They wandered a little farther down the path.

“It’s weird to think that my whole childhood was spent in that
place,” Shaun said, nodding to Manchester in the distance. “Where did you grow up?”

“I grew up in Rome. Well, a little village about an hour out of
the city. I was very lucky in a lot of ways, but…”

Shaun glanced at him. He found him difficult to read, but there
was definite pain there.

“But what?”

“Being attracted to men was not part of that world. Not until
Uncle Z came. He changed everyone’s view.”

Shaun whirled around. “You’re gay?” he asked in
astonishment.

Enzo raised an eyebrow. “Is it so surprising? Marco. Uncle
Z.”

“Bloody hell,” Shaun said. “My gaydar is way out of sync.”

“Perhaps if you’d spoken to me once in a while, you’d have had
a better chance of figuring me out,” Enzo said.

His words weren’t spiteful but simply stating a fact. A fact
Shaun couldn’t even begin to deny. Embarrassment burnt over his skin. He had been
behaving obstructively since coming to the farm. Now he could see himself through Enzo’s
eyes and he didn’t like it. “Have I been such a bitch?” he ventured.

Enzo glanced over at him and winked. Shaun had noticed that
Enzo was handsome—it was impossible not to. But he hadn’t taken the time to see his dark
brown eyes or the way they crinkled at the sides when he smiled. Whether it was the fact
he’d just saved his life or something deeper, Shaun imagined staring into those eyes and
losing himself.

“We should get back,” he said. “I need to finish tonight’s
dinner. I know my place and I don’t fancy being shouted at by Marco for not doing it.”

“And there he goes,” Enzo muttered. “Back into his shell. You
would find this whole experience a damned sight easier if you were a little nicer to those
around you. We are not all villains, you know.”

Once again, a flash of rage blew through Shaun’s system. He
didn’t want to be schooled in how to be a gangster. Not by anyone, no matter how deep
their eyes were.

“Thank you for the advice on how to survive a fucking gang
war that I want nothing to do with,” he snapped. “I was terrified today, Enzo. Do you
understand what that means? I can’t just toe the line and chuckle while my brother or any of
you go out there time and again. If I get to know you, like you, it just adds to my fears. I can’t
do it. I won’t.”

He was babbling now, but his mouth couldn’t seem to stop. To
his amazement, Enzo came over and wrapped his arms around him. Shaun fitted perfectly,
his head nestling in the crook of Enzo’s neck.

Enzo’s strong arms instantly calmed him and the shivers he had
been battling since he got in the car simply disappeared.

“I get terrified too,” Enzo said softly.

“How do you stand it?”

“I have no idea. You’re not the only one in the whirlpool, I
suppose.”

Shaun looked up just as Enzo stared down at him. Their lips
were almost touching, but then reality hit Shaun like a sledgehammer. Having an affair with
a gangster had put his brother in the hospital. He had no intention of spinning that particular
bottle.

He broke away, trying to ignore the hurt on Enzo’s face.
“They’ll be missing us now,” he said, smoothing down his jacket.

Falling in love can
be a deadly business.

Blurb

Liam Moseley has been living a lie ever since he joined
Manchester’s notorious crime boss Jonny Wellingham ten years ago. Liam is gay, and that
could get him killed in the deadly world he has fallen into.

When he meets handsome Italian Marco Ponti, Liam’s
whole world is turned on its head. Marco is in town looking for business opportunities for
his uncle in Rome, and makes Liam see his life in a brand-new light.

But all is not as it seems, especially when Marco shows
Liam the past isn’t always as it appears and the future can change in the blink of an eye. In a
dangerous world where each job could be Liam’s last, he finds himself fighting for love as
well as survival.

Liam will have to put everything he holds dear on the line
to make his dreams come true.

Excerpt from Fool’s Gold

“So you’re Manchester born and bred?” Marco
asked.

“Can’t you tell by the accent?” Liam replied.

Marco beamed. “I love the Manc accent. It’s
so…expressive.”

“That’s the first time I’ve heard it called that before,” Liam
said. “I’d rather have an Italian one.”

“You find it sexy?”

Marco’s eyes dared him to answer honestly. Something
about this guy gave Liam confidence. No man had ever had this effect on him. “Yeah, I do,”
he replied before glancing down.

“Why do you do that?” Marco asked, leaning forward, his
elbows on the table.

“Do what?” he asked.

“Break eye contact every time you say something. Are you
ashamed?”

Liam shifted uncomfortably. “No, it’s not that.”

“Tell me what it is, then?” Marco asked, his voice soothing
and sincere.

“I guess I don’t think I have anything to say worth listening
to,” he replied, eventually.

To his astonishment, Marco’s foot connected with his leg.
The pressure told him it was absolutely on purpose.

“I respectfully disagree, Liam. I think I’d listen to you.
Whatever you had to say.”

He had that burning sensation on his neck again. It had
made him so paranoid at school.

“Sorry, I have made you blush,” Marco continued.

“Don’t worry about it. I always bloody blush. They called
me Po at school because of it.”

Marco frowned. “What?”

“The red Teletubby?” Liam expected him to burst into that
laughter again. Most people did when he confided this, but instead, Marco just shook his
head.

“Kids can be so cruel. But who cares? They are in your
past.”

“Yeah, they’re probably sweeping up shit in the hospital
now. Serves them right.”

This time Marco did seem amused. “Said with true passion.
I like it. So, what do you do, Liam?”

Here it came. The inevitable question. He could hardly say
he was a lackey for one of the biggest gangsters in the northwest of England, so he reverted
to his stock answer. “Oh, you know, bit of this, bit of that. How about you?”

“As I said, my uncle works in shipping. I’m over here seeing
if there is any potential to expand to Manchester.”

Liam nodded. “The city is booming. You could do a lot
worse.”

“That’s what I thought. I like what I see more and
more.”

The look which followed that statement practically oozed
with intent. This time, Liam forced himself to meet Marco’s gaze. “I’ve never been to Italy,
but maybe I should,” he replied. “Rome seems pretty good from where I’m sitting.”

“Ah, you definitely should,” Marco said, leaning back. “It is
beautiful. I’ve been the length and breadth of it with my job. I worked in Venice recently.
Bellissima.”

Liam had seen pictures of the water world on television.
“Better than the canals in Manchester. They’re just full of shopping trolleys and used
condoms.”

Marco laughed again. It was so loud and carefree that Liam
had to stop himself from looking around to see if anyone noticed. But he forced himself to
relax and ended up giggling along with him. It had been so long since he’d done something
like this.

“This is better,” Marco said.

“What is?”

“You are relaxing. You seemed very tense earlier,” Marco
said. “I thought perhaps you’d changed your mind about me.”

“Oh, nothing like that,” Liam said hurriedly. “It’s just that
I’m not out, you see. I don’t normally do this.”

Marco’s stunning eyes widened. “Who isn’t out these
days?”

Shaking his head, Liam took a swig of his drink. “Me,” he
said, placing the drink down. “In my line of work, it isn’t the done thing.”

A group of lads banged through the door. Liam frantically
scanned each face but didn’t recognise any of them.

“Wow. I can’t imagine being in the closet. At my eighteenth
birthday party, I came out. I figured if I had to enter adulthood, people should know what
they were dealing with. Although I like to make a statement now and then. It keeps them on
their toes.”

The lads were being quite rowdy. Even the barman
appeared nervous.

“You’re very brave,” Liam said.

“Not really. My uncle is gay too, so it was a well-beaten
path. No one in our family cares as long as you’re healthy and happy.”

“Sounds perfect.”

Marco chuckled, but Liam couldn’t relax. He watched the
group of lads out of the corner of his eye. He could spot trouble a mile off, and these lads
were desperate for it.

“We’re a long way from perfect, believe me,” Marco said.
“But we get by.”

Liam drained his glass. “You want another?”

Marco shook his head. “There are a lot of things I’d like
from you, Liam…but another drink is not one of them.”

The change in tempo took Liam by surprise. Heat crept over
his face and he didn’t know what to say in return. He had never been any good at the whole
game-playing thing. “Just nipping to the loo,” he managed before bolting for the
door.

Space is cold, the sex it
hot, and the rebellion is right on target.

Blurb

Earth is dead. Humanity survives by selling the only
resource available—themselves. 2689 has signed away his rights as a living being and
become décor, living artwork that rich aliens use to decorate their homes. It’s a stable

existence but a boring one. Until one day his owner plays host to three unexpected guests.
Large, loud, and more potent than anything 2689 has ever experienced, this trio of ship-
dwellers from the wrong side of the universe awakens a desire he can’t ignore.

However, blissful days of sex and companionship
with Brog, Desmodian, and Xavis come to an end when 2689 discovers a plot that could land
the trio in jail…or worse. 2689 will have to make a choice—stay silent and allow three
innocent lives to be ruined or give up his stable life to protect the ones he loves.

Excerpt

Pet fumbled his drink, creating a clink of glass against glass
and spilling pink droplets onto the table’s surface. He had encountered Décor Preservation
Services once before, at his first auction, when they evaluated his quality and determined
what price to charge his buyers.

“And what does DPS want with us?”

Desmodian sounded too calm, considering the tremor Pet
felt running through the hand on his head.

Vige scoffed. “Really? A trio of dirty ship-dwellers running
around with one of their precious décor, and you don’t think they’re going to
intervene?”

“We’ve done nothing wrong.” Xavis ruffled his feathers
again, filling what little space remained in their alcove. “Pet was transferred to us legally.
Anyone can check the license.”

In a different situation, Pet would have stroked the feathers
back down, but he was too scared to do more than stare dumbly from person to
person.

Décor don’t usually go on vacation, but after their
adventure in the Iota Cloud, Pet is looking forward to a week of relaxation on the planet
Syzygy, an ideal vacation spot for aliens from all corners of the galaxy.

The fancy resort they’ve chosen isn’t welcoming to
ship-dwellers, but defying societal expectations has always been a favorite pastime for
Desmodian, Brog, and Xavis.

However, a divide is sparked in the trio when
shadows from Brog’s past make an unexpected appearance. Distracted by their conflict, the
three are left vulnerable to an enemy who knows their weaknesses.

The trio can’t save Pet this time. It’s up to him to
rescue the ones he loves and return them all to their true home among the stars. If he fails,
their freedom and maybe even their lives will be forfeit.

Excerpt

Desmodian turned sharply back to Brog. His hand, which
had been holding the card, opened and closed as if confused about its sudden emptiness.
“What? You’re keeping it?”

One of Brog’s hands held the card, and another gripped
Desmodian. That still left two arms free to cross over his chest in a challenging posture.
“Maybe. No reason not to.”

Desmodian gaped. “No reason…after what that man did to
you. There’s every reason to avoid him.”

The pair stared each other down, Brog with one set of eyes
and Desmodian with his whole body.

Pet’s foot slipped over wet rock, and he nearly tumbled off
the island. He had seen these emotions on his trio before, but rarely directed at each other.
On the rare occasion they fought, it usually ended as quickly as it started. He hoped this time
would be the same.

Xavis approached the argument with both wings
outstretched. “Hey, guys, calm down. This isn’t worth fighting over.”

Brog let go of Desmodian, practically throwing his hand
away. “If he thinks he can make decisions for me, then we got somethin’ to fight
over.”

Desmodian’s hammer planted in the sand again, hard
enough to sink several inches. “It shouldn’t even be a decision. It should be common sense.
Yaivin Vels is the reason you ended up arrested and in Unit 22 in the first place. You
shouldn’t want anything to do with him.”

About the Author

D’Arcy Arden grew up in
Akron, Ohio, where she attended creative art schools and was surrounded by beautiful
country landscape. This combination cultivated an interest in literature, art, and the natural
world around her. In college, she earned a Masters Degree in Fiction Writing, which primarily
taught her that there is no one way to tell a good story. So, she turned around and went
back for a degree in Animation as well. This love for both visual and written stories has given
her a preference for stories that are memorable, easy to picture, and, most importantly,
fun.

That was her main goal when
she started writing The Fourth State of Matter—to provide readers with a fun story featuring
the three S’s. Science, sex, and spaceships. It is her first published novel, but only the
beginning of a great adventure.

BOOK 1

Hidden Blade (The Road to
Rocktoberfest 2022)
by Kaje
Harper (Author)

Sometimes willpower isn’t enough.

Cam

Social anxiety’s been my constant companion for twenty-
three years, sometimes in the background, sometimes silencing me and yanking my guts out
in the nearest trash can. No matter how much I love playing music, I’m never going to get up
on a stage and perform in front of a crowd. But since I met Erik, and was asked to join his
band Hellsbane, that knowledge hurts worse.

No heart (even Erik’s) or dick (even Erik’s) is big enough to
carry me past my limits, but God, I wish there was a way.

Erik

Life’s damned unfair when a guy with the voice of a hard-
rock angel and a songwriting talent like Cam’s can only post anonymous videos online. But
you can’t cure anxiety with wanting, or willpower. My drummer needs to quit trying to push
Cam onstage with us before he breaks.

Rocktoberfest’s our goal, and touring with Hellsbane was
my only ambition until I met Cam. Now I can’t have everything I love in one place, but
dammit, I wish there was a way.

A first-times, life challenges, coming out, rockstar
romance.

BOOK 2

Blinding Light: Road To
Rocktoberfest 2022
by BL
Maxwell (Author)

Easy Rian has been lead singer for Blinding Light since the band was formed.
Through the years many things have changed. Not all of them good. When the lead guitarist
leaves mid-tour, the rest of the band is left waiting to see if they’ll continue on to
Roctoberfest, or if this is where their tour ends.

Liam Tarrant has been playing guitar for as long as he can
remember. When he gets the chance to audition for Blinding Light, he jumps at the chance.
Meeting the band is surreal, especially the lead singer, Easy. Liam has always had a crush on
Easy, but he never thought he’d get the chance to meet him, let alone spend time alone with
him.

Easy is drawn to Liam, no matter how much he wants to
deny it. When the two are thrown together over practice and planning the upcoming tour,
attraction grows between the two of them that neither can deny. But falling in love on tour
could be what finally ends Blinding Light, and both of them will need to choose what’s more
important to them. Love or music, can they have it all? #Rockstar #mmromance

BOOK 3

Feel The Noise: M/M
Contemporary Rockstar Romance
by
Aria Grace
(Author)

Larson Monroe is not a rockstar. Not by any stretch of the imagination. He’s
a newly promoted middle manager for the marketing department of a sports apparel
company…and he’s content. Mostly. But when Pitch, his identical twin brother, calls and begs
for help, Lars can’t resist indulging in the childhood game of pretending to be his
brother.

Reed likes being hired by stuffed suits and high society
types just fine. But when he gets the chance to work security for Rocktoberfest, the biggest
rock festival in the country, he’s eager to take the job. It’ll be a nice change of pace and a fat
bonus for being on-site during the event. What he doesn’t expect is the change of pace of
his heart when he spots Pitch Monroe, lead singer for a newbie band he’s never even heard
of.

The sparks are instant and quickly burn hotter than either
of them have ever felt before. But when Larson’s real identity is exposed, it doesn’t exactly
go as planned…

BOOK 4

Changing His Tune: Road
to Rocktoberfest 2022
by Blake
Allwood (Author)

Tired of being lonely, Hayden decides to take his life
back, starting with changing his music and his identity. Will these transitions be worth the
risk, or will they destroy everything he’s worked for?

Hayden Koal’s life has been… different. One minute he’s a
young boy living on his grandpa’s Iowa farm, the next, his parents have whisked him off to LA
and thrust him into teenage stardom. Now that he’s an adult, he’s got a lot of choices to
make about his life, his career, and his love life.

Erik Anderson has it all. A great job, friends that he loves
like family, and… okay maybe it isn’t perfect, but finding the right guy isn’t easy. When he
meets his celebrity crush Hayden Koal everything changes.

Their love affair is fraught with trouble from the moment
they come together and both Hayden and Erik have tough decisions to make. Will they
choose to upend their lives or sacrifice their love?

BOOK 5

Three of a Kind: Road to
Rocktoberfest 2022
by Nic Starr
(Author)

What happens when friendship becomes love, and you’re presented with
seemingly impossible choices while the world is watching?

Harvey, lead guitarist with Australian rock band,
HyperOctane, thought playing at Rocktoberfest would be the highlight of his career. He
didn’t expect a performance that would shape the rest of his life.

Ravi

Admitting his feelings for Harvey was one of the hardest
things he’d ever done. Being rejected was crushing. He never thought he’d be living the
same heartbreak years later after finally finding love.

Bo

He broke Ravi’s heart but he couldn’t ignore the feelings he
had for Harvey. It wasn’t fair on Rav, and Bo knew it was for the best, but why did doing the
right thing have to hurt so much?

Harvey

He wasn’t sure which was his biggest regret—hurting Ravi
all those years ago, or more recently giving in to temptation and having a one-night stand
with Bo. He’d always been close to his younger brother’s best friends, and now it seemed
he’d messed things up with both of them.

Now all three of them must confront their feelings for each
other. Why do things have to be so complicated?

Three of a Kind is a gay rock star romance featuring second
chances, friends to lovers, and menage.

BOOK 6

Midnight Reunion
by Lynn
Michaels (Author)

A Midnight Hunt Reunion is coming to Rocktoberfest
2022

Or are they? When Miami proposes getting the band back
together for the big rock festival ahead, it could mean everything to him – his career, his
life…and most importantly, a second shot with bandmate, Jinx.

Jinx isn’t sure what to do. He’d left Midnight Hunt and
Miami for good reason, but his life wasn’t turning out to be what he thought it was. Would a
reunion get him inspired, fulfill his desires? Would it lead back into Miami’s arms? Or would
everything bomb, falling right off the charts? Again?

Get ready for a rockstar reunion romance! It’s a slow burn
will they/won’t they filled with music and a killer rock festival!

BOOK 7

Bleeding Dawn: Road to
Rocktoberfest book 7
) by Layla
Dorine (Author)

Identical in appearance, twins Winter and Tripp are as different as night and
day when it comes to everything but the music they’ve spent the bulk of their lifetimes
composing. Now they’ve attained the fame they always hoped for, and it’s as empty and
meaningless as the remains of route 66, and about as broken too. Would help if Winter
could see it. Tripp’s sure he’ll lose his shit completely the next time some random groupie
leaps on the hood of his car and begs to take a selfie, but to Winter, every night is a party, he
lives for the crazy hookups, lives for the crazy, period.

Another place they differ.

Tripp would kill for one season to slow down. Just three
months where he and Zakk could melt into obscurity and be whomever they wanted,
together. Only Zakk’s band, Tattered Angel, is on fire too and it’s starting to seem like the
music he’s always loved is hell-bent on keeping him from exploring love of a different kind.
Last year’s Rocktoberfest was an amazing triumph, this year, it’s starting to feel like the road
to the desert is burning him alive.

Would be so easy to slip off across the sand, melt into a
dune on the back of some strange, psychedelic serpent, never to be heard from again. If only
there was a way to ensure Zakk took that last ride with him.

BOOK 8

Syncing Rhythms (The Road
to Rocktoberfest 2022)
by Kris Jacen (Author)

It’s taken years for Dawson’s band, AudioLock, to finally ‘make it’. Okay,
maybe they hadn’t made it yet but they were invited to perform on the big stage at
Rocktoberfest. Driving the beat of the band warmed his soul but Dawson really wished there
was someone to warm his heart and bed.

Ben Williams’ passion for music and theater is all-
encompassing but he doesn’t have a talented bone in his body. However, he does have the
mind and personality to manage everything that happens when the curtain goes up. His
ultimate goal of being a stage manager for a major rock band is in sight. He didn’t think
anything could change his focus until a certain drummer appeared on Ben’s stage.

Dreams within reach, are Ben and Dawson willing to change
so they can sync rhythms together?

Life is good for Dean Blanchett, lead guitarist of the
superstar rock band, the Lost Apostles. He’s got his music, he’s got his dog, he’s got his best
friend Luka and the girl he’s gonna marry. Right up until a few days before the biggest show
of the year, when his fiancé literally throws his ring in his face and leaves him for an
accountant.

AN ACCOUNTANT.

Dean quickly spirals out of control, knowing Luka will be
there to pick up the pieces. Again. It’s a good thing he has a friend like Luka.

Luka

straight as a ruler. And unless something changes, he’s going to self-destruct something Luka

BOOK 11

David’s Disaster: Embrace
the Fear 2 (The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022)
by
TL Travis
(Author)

For David Jordan life was close to perfect.

His band, Embrace the Fear, were living the rock ‘n roll
dream as an up-and-coming band under Masterson Management. They weren’t rolling in
the dough like the guys from Social and Maiden were, but things were good.

Outside of his love life that was.

David wasn’t a player, unless you count video games. He
grew up in a middle-class family. Both his parents worked and were supportive of him in
every way. To this day they were still head over heels in love with each other.

The one thing missing from David’s life was the same kind
of connection his parents had.

But David’s needs were a bit unorthodox and not always
welcome with guys closer to his age. Would an older man look past the number and trust
David to take care of them—body and soul?

Jordan Wright has a thriving business thanks to being
awarded the contract to manage the catering for Rocktoberfest for a second year.

He’s thrilled to be back at the venue again—maybe this is
the year something special will happen, although he’s not counting on it.

Since Jordan’s last failed attempt at a relationship, he’s
sworn only to engage in meaningless hook-ups.

But Jordan longs for a daddy of his own.

Will he ever be able to open his mind, and his heart, again?
Enough to trust another man, not only with his body, but to catch him when he falls.

BOOK 12

Gamble on Me: The Road
to Rocktoberfest 2022
by Ann
Lister (Author)

Two teenage boys were certain they’d be best friends for life. With clear
paths planned for the future, they were ready to take on the world. All it took was one
deep—very adult kiss to throw them off kilter, and their plans turned to dust. One chose a
path toward stardom and stage lights while the other stayed behind in their hometown and
pursued his dream of being a cop. Although they hoped to see one another again, neither
thought it would ever happen.

No one can turn back time, but perhaps the future can be altered with a little luck—and a lot
of love.

Gamble: I was fifteen when I realized I was in love with
my best friend, Bix. Since then, not a day has passed when he didn’t cross my mind. I arrived
in L.A. at eighteen with nothing more than raw talent and a dream, then fell face-first into
drug addiction but not before my band hit it big, earning awards and million-dollar
paychecks. Success was one thing, but I still wanted Bix and the simple life we once had
growing up on Starfish Island.

Bixby: I spent a lot of years worrying about Gamble. The
entertainment news was great about airing his dirty laundry, which kept me aware of how
low he was sinking. Now I worried he might not survive. I’d wanted him since that one
perfect kiss we shared on graduation night, and I’ve wanted a lifetime of more with him ever
since.

Possible Triggers: Mentions of drug addiction, overdose,
recovery, and a gunshot wound.

friend, Grady. Then Grady fell in love with him, which should have been perfect since

joined the army, while Grady stayed on the mountain.

Four years later, Dawson is coming home. He’s more sure

Falling for his teammate
wasn’t in the game plan….

Blurb

Hockey is Gabe Martin’s life. Dante Baltierra just wants to have some fun on his way to the
Hockey Hall of Fame. Falling for a teammate isn’t in either game plan.

But plans change.

When Gabe gets outed, it turns his careful life upside-
down. The chaos messes with his game and sends his team headlong into a losing streak.
The last person he expects to pull him through it is Dante.

This season isn’t going the way Dante thought it would.
Gabe’s sexuality doesn’t faze him, but his own does. Dante’s always been a “what you see is
what you get” kind of guy, and having to hide his attraction to Gabe sucks. But so does
losing, and his teammate needs him, so he puts in the effort to snap Gabe out of his
funk.

He doesn’t mean to fall in love with the guy.

Getting involved with a teammate is a bad idea, but Dante
is shameless, funny, and brilliant at hockey. Gabe can’t resist. Unfortunately, he struggles to
share part of himself that he’s hidden for years, and Dante chafes at hiding their
relationship. Can they find their feet before the ice slips out from under them?

You miss 100 percent of
the shots you don’t take.

Blurb

Ryan Wright’s new hockey team is a dumpster fire. He expects to lose games—not his heart.

Ryan’s laid-back attitude should be an advantage in
Indianapolis. Even if he doesn’t accomplish much on the ice, he can help his burned-out
teammates off it. And no one needs a friend—or a hug—more than Nico Kirschbaum, the
team’s struggling would-be superstar.

Nico doesn’t appreciate that management traded for
another openly gay player and told them to make friends. Maybe he doesn’t know what his
problem is, but he’ll solve it with hard work, not by bonding with the class clown.

It’s obvious to Ryan that Nico’s lonely, gifted, and cracking
under pressure. No amount of physical practice will fix his mental game. But convincing Nico
to let Ryan help means getting closer than is wise for Ryan’s heart—especially once he
unearths Nico’s sense of humor.

Will Nico and Ryan risk making a pass, or will they keep
missing 100 percent of the shots they don’t take?

Excerpt from WINGING IT

Dante waited in the lobby, curled into a chair that wasn’t
quite big enough to be comfortable. He kept his back to the flow of people and his nose
buried in his phone. Any other night, sure, he would be happy to sign autographs. Tonight…
his brain was going to endlessly replay the scene he’d just walked in on.

How had he not known Gabe was into men? It seemed
obvious now. Of course he never picked women up in bars or brought a girlfriend to a team
event. Dante felt stupid for not noticing.

Somehow Dante had stumbled onto a huge secret.

And now he had to work out what to do about it.

First, though, apparently he was going to think about
Gabe’s broad palm on his partner’s chest. Gabe was a big guy—two inches taller than Dante,
even if Dante was more solidly built. His partner had been clinging to Gabe’s muscular
shoulder.

He should stop thinking about it, but his brain was trying to
fill in details. Where had Gabe’s other hand been? Had it been placed on his partner’s thigh?
Had he been putting his weight on it to steady himself? Or maybe he’d used it to tilt the
man’s face to the right angle.

Dante exhaled sharply. This was really, really not his
business. Dwelling on it would not do him any favors. He needed to pretend everything was
normal. And obsessing about your teammate feeling up some guy—and kissing, can’t forget
the kissing—was not that.

So. Normal. He’d been sexiled by a roommate. That was
fine! It had happened before. Today, actually. He hoped Yorkie was having a better night
than Gabe.

Most importantly, sexiling was normal.

Was it hot in here?

Footsteps jarred him out of his spiral, and he looked up to
see Gabe walking toward him, head down, shoulders hunched. He didn’t exactly have the
look of the freshly laid about him.

Fuck.

Or, like, probably not.

Gabe dropped into the chair across from him. He was
loudly projecting that he would rather stand in front of fifty of Kitty’s slap shots than have
this conversation.

At least they were on even footing in that respect.

Dante put his phone away. “So, uh, sorry for cockblocking
you.”
Even if it’s kind of your fault. Who doesn’t
use the Do Not Disturb sign? Why didn’t you tell me to pound rocks when I asked to
share?

Considering the circumstances, he kept a lid on these
criticisms. He could bring them up later, when Gabe didn’t look like he was about to puke all
over the hotel lobby.

“I wasn’t expecting it to be a problem,” Gabe said. He
slumped farther, but Dante thought his shoulders were relaxing too. “Did you strike out or
something?”

“Sort of. We passed her ex on the way back to her place
and she made it like ten more feet before she burst into tears. So we stopped at Dairy Queen
for ice cream, and then she went to the bathroom and fixed her makeup and we took a selfie
for her Instagram, and I came back here.”

The color returned to Gabe’s face and he met Dante’s gaze
for the first time since that hideously awkward moment upstairs. “Guess neither of us is
getting laid tonight,” he said, a little tentatively, like he wasn’t sure Dante would
laugh.

“I won’t tell if you won’t.”

“Deal,” Gabe said. The lines of tension in his face
disappeared under a relieved half smile.

Good. Dante was glad they’d settled that. “Great.” He
yawned. “So can we go upstairs now? I’ve had just enough booze and ice cream to make me
sleepy.”

When they got up to the hotel room, Dante said, “I wish
you’d told me you liked guys.” His shoes
thunked dully against the wall as he
kicked them off. “I wouldn’t have tried so hard to hook you up with chicks last season.” Or
last week.

Gabe stared at Dante’s shoes. Then he lined his own up
neatly under the desk. “It’s not something I advertise.”

“No shit.” Dante shimmied out of his jeans.

After a beat, Gabe said, “You’re being really cool about
this.”

Dante sat in the desk chair. He had a habit of saying the first
thing that came to mind, and right now that was
Actually, I’m kind of freaking out. He
needed to take his time. “I mean, obviously I’m not mad or upset or whatever.
I’m—accepting? Ugh, that’s a garbage word.” He huffed, frustrated with himself. “Look,
you’re… gay?”

The muscle at the hinge of Gabe’s jaw bunched. “Yeah.”

“Cool.” He drummed the fingers of his left hand on the
desktop, realized he was doing it, and forced himself to stop. “And obviously if you haven’t
told the team, you’re expecting some of them to be assholes. And that sucks. Because as far
as I’m concerned, my reaction? Is, like, a pretty low bar.”

Gabe rubbed the back of his neck. “I mean, it’s not like you
could come in and introduce yourself.”

If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Dante was losing his grip on reality. “Yeah, maybe not. You mind
if I shower now? I stink like dance club.”

“Sure. I’m just gonna….” Gabe picked up the television
remote.

The television came on, and a moment later Dante closed
the bathroom door behind him and started the water. Mechanically, he removed his clothes
and stepped under the spray. The hot water sluiced over him, washing away the sweat and
club grime and what had maybe been just a little too much hair gel.

But the image of Gabe kissing another man on the bed in
their hotel room stuck with him, and now, in relative privacy and naked, alone with his
thoughts, Dante was forced to confront the truth of his own semi.

“I did not see this coming,” he muttered as he reached for
his shampoo.

Reckoning with the past
just might destroy Grady and Dawson’s plans for the future

Blurb

Three deadly accidents that might have been magical
murder. A dark witch with a grudge against the King family. Federal agents with supernatural
abilities. And, as usual, Dawson and Grady are smack dab in the crosshairs of trouble even
they can’t outrun.

When Grady King’s brother Knox is targeted by shady
characters, old secrets, coverups, and lies come to light. Grady and his boyfriend Dawson
begin to question what really happened when Grady’s grandparents and Dawson’s parents
died. Then agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Supernatural Investigation show up
pursuing a different case, only to discover that the crimes appear to be connected, with a
vengeful dark witch at the center of the plot. And since monsters never sleep, Grady and
Dawson are still carrying out their duty to hunt dangerous paranormal creatures, restless
spirits, nefarious faeries, Civil War ghosts, creepy cryptids, and things that go bump in the
night. It’s all part of the centuries-old King family mandate to protect the people of
Cunanoon Mountain and Transylvania County, a mission Grady and Dawson are sworn to
fulfill.

But when it looks like something is hunting the people
Grady loves, it’s time to dig into the family’s painful past, uncovering dangerous details of
long-ago hunts against immortal creatures who never forget—or forgive.

Can they solve the mystery and figure out who’s behind the
deaths, or will they bear the deadly consequences of their hidden history? Reckoning with
the past just might destroy Grady and Dawson’s plans for the future and set loose a tide of
malicious magic that could sweep them all away.

Sins of the Fathers is a thrill-packed MM romance
adventure full of fast cars, outlaw country boys, snarky werewolves, vengeful ghosts,
menacing monsters, and a love that can’t be denied.

Excerpt from Sins of the Fathers

Dawson’s heart went out to Jason, worried about his long-time
partner without news of how he was doing and now afraid of being left alone.

“Lily sent us here to talk.” Grady tag teamed. “She knew you’d
be upset. She also knew how much you two loved each other.”

Lily Franklin was the long-time Meals on Wheels volunteer who
had delivered to Jason and Everett for many years. She’d become a good friend and was
Everett’s emergency contact once Jason passed away.

A door slammed. Grady’s head snapped up, and he shot a
questioning look at Dawson. Dawson reached out to take his hand, intertwining their fingers
and holding their hands in the air.

“We’re like you and Everett. We understand wanting to stay
together.” Dawson picked up the conversation.

The planchette trembled before beginning to move. “D-A-N-G-
E-R-O-U-S,” Dawson said as the pointer moved.

“Dangerous to admit what you and Jason were to each other?”
Grady asked.

The planchette moved to “YES.”

“It can be, but plenty of people are ‘out’ these days. Even
married,” Dawson answered.

A framed photo rocked back and forth on the mantle. Dawson
saw that it showed two men in their thirties decades ago on a sunny day, grinning with arms
slung over each other’s shoulders.

“If Everett can’t come home, do you think you could go to
him?” Grady asked.

The planchette went wild, circling “YES” over and over.

“Is there something here that means a lot to you that you
could ‘travel’ with if we took it to Everett?” Dawson looked around, wondering what objects
among the collections of a shared lifetime might be special enough to anchor a ghost.

A crash sounded from the back of the house. They headed
toward the noise and found the door to a bedroom open and a painting on the floor in a
broken frame. As soon as Dawson entered, he was shoved by invisible hands sending him
stumbling toward one side of an unmade king-size bed.

He nearly fell, and when he braced himself against the edge of
the mattress, he saw a leather jewelry tray on the nightstand, and in it, two silver military
rings.

“These?” Dawson felt a puff of cold air in response.

“What are they?’ Grady stood in the doorway, respecting the
privacy of the old man who had lived there.

“Army service rings. Vietnam, if I’m right.” Dawson picked up
the rings and looked at them in the light.

“Lily said they met when Everett was a nurse at the VA
hospital, and Jason came home wounded from the war,” Grady replied.

Dawson’s gaze went to a photo of a younger version of the two
men standing together in uniform. They were circumspect in their pose, but Dawson
imagined that he could see a slight lean, a bit less space between them than usual, and
broad grins.

That could have been Grady and me if we’d been born
then. I’m glad they found each other and were happy.

Blurb

Fast cars. Outlaw country boys. Snarky werewolves,
vengeful ghosts, and menacing monsters.

Dawson King’s family has been hunting things that go bump
in the night in Transylvania County, North Carolina, since before the Revolutionary
War.

Dawson was never happier than when he was racing his
souped-up Mustang along winding mountain roads and hunting monsters with his best
friend, Grady. Then Grady fell in love with him, which should have been perfect since
Dawson had already fallen hard for Grady.

But Grady was only seventeen, and Dawson feared that
sooner or later, Grady would realize his feelings were just a first crush, and then he’d be
gone, leaving Dawson devastated. They both needed space to figure things out. So Dawson
joined the army, while Grady stayed on the mountain.

Four years later, Dawson is coming home. He’s more sure
than ever Grady is his forever love, and they’ve both agreed to begin this new aspect of their
relationship as soon as Dawson gets back.

Then Grady’s father is killed in a werewolf hunt gone
wrong. Grady is devastated, and he’s throwing mixed signals about moving forward. Dawson
knows he needs to hold off on this new thing between them until Grady has time to grieve.
But monsters never sleep, and one hunt after another throws Dawson and Grady into
constant danger, while tension and unresolved feelings ripple between them.

Making it even harder, Dawson’s got a secret. He’s dreamed
of death omens—which point to something stalking Grady. Can Dawson figure out who’s
trying to kill Grady, save his life, and win back his heart?

Plenty of mutual pining, hurt/comfort, spooky chills,
sexy thrills, and a very happy ending. The Kings of the Mountain is the first novel in the
series. It is a MM romance intended for readers 18 years of age and older.

Excerpt from Kings of the Mountain

The longer they spent time on the road and on hunts together, the more Dawson felt a
powerful attraction to Grady. He’d always been fond of the younger man, but Dawson found
himself admiring the person Grady was growing into. Grady deserved to find the right
guy—if that’s what he wanted—who could make him happy. And as much as Dawson wished
fervently that could be him, he knew he couldn’t take the chance that Grady might feel
pressured or obligated to respond if Dawson made any advances.

Not to mention how Grady’s mother had always carried on about how awful it was to marry
a “cousin,” something that she claimed no one in her family had ever done.
She’d made her position loud and clear while she was married to Aaron, which had not
endeared her to the rest of the community. Such marriages were legal in North Carolina, and
not uncommon in the rural areas.

The fact that Grady wasn’t a cousin by blood probably wouldn’t matter to Camille. But what
if Grady had accepted his mother’s bias? Maybe Dawson had imagined the flirtation, or
worse, projected his own feelings onto the other man. So Dawson took the edge off with
hookups and out-of-town one-night stands, very aware that he tended to choose partners
with a resemblance to Grady.

Until he couldn’t stand it any longer.

That’s when Dawson enlisted.

Once they were on the main highway, Dawson turned to watch Colt’s profile.

“So…what happened with Uncle Denny and Grady?”

Colt’s grip on the steering wheel tightened, and the tic in his jaw told Dawson that the other
man didn’t want to have this conversation. “They’re both alive. But a hunt went wrong a
week ago, and Grady isn’t dealing with it very well.”

A week, Dawson thought. That was when he’d stopped getting emails from
Grady. He had tried to convince himself the silence was due to any number of impersonal
reasons, but Dawson knew in his gut something wasn’t right. His responses from Uncle
Denny had gotten short and less frequent around the same time.

Was this what his nightmare had been warning him about?

“Could you be a little clearer?” Dawson knew Colt could read the warning in his tone.

“Grady got hurt. Aaron was killed. Grady’s not dealing well with it. Uncle Denny didn’t want
to leave Grady alone. So they sent me.”

Dawson’s head swam. Uncle Aaron, dead? That’s hard to even imagine. He was always
so full of life. And Grady—it’s got to be bad if he couldn’t come. Oh, God. I almost lost him.
Plus there’s something Colt isn’t saying, something even worse. Because if Uncle Aaron died
on a hunt, then Grady had to have been right there when it happened. That’s bad, really
bad. No one should see their parent die, especially not like that.
