Blurb

Meet Ryan, aka, Joey Hole, disgraced former adult
entertainer with more issues than he can keep track of. His boyfriend left him for an
Instagram twink with 150K followers, his Mum wants him out of her spare room and then
there’s that idiot at college who just won’t take no for an answer.

Meet Luke. He was once the rich kid who’d just been gifted
his first car, and now he doesn’t even own a bike. He’s also slumming it in a house full of
ungrateful siblings and his first trip to the Food-bank gave him some goddamn emotional
scars. Life is getting better though, and he’s acing it at college, as well as making some
brilliant new friends. Well except for that stuck up twatwaffle Ryan who won’t talk to him
and refuses to like his brilliant social media posts….

The first book in the new London Series. This series
will follow the ups and downs of three couples living extraordinary ordinary London
lives.

My headphones blasted music as I walked down the college
corridors towards the on-site gym, where our first session today would cover gentle
workouts for the older generation, a topic I found intriguing. I liked the idea of giving
something back. Not that I had any contact with any of my grandparents. All except for my
maternal grandfather had long departed, and I wasn’t even sure he still lived in the country.
Family could be an unwelcome obligation, but if there was one thing I would fight for to the
death, it was that Olive would never be sent to some goddamn boarding school and would
never, fucking ever be looked after by our parents again. That was like…
fuck. I was sweating
just imagining the horror my little sister would go through. In any circumstance, it would
never happen. She had us in her corner now, and we would bloody protect her to the end of
the earth.

The gym was busy as always, a few people huddled over by
the water dispenser, and there was muffled giggling coming through from the weights room,
where I could see all the girls in our class bent over staring at the phone in Danielle’s hand.
Well, all except Bridget, who stormed out and barged past me without saying hello.

“What did you do to Bridget?” I asked, squeezing down on
the last remaining place on the bench and huffing in disappointment when Danielle pressed
the screen against her chest and glared at me like I’d interrupted something private. I
probably had, but as always, I didn’t have the sense to care.

“You don’t want to see this,” she said, an odd mix of
excited and horrified.

“Why? Is it porn or something?” I didn’t know why I said
these things, but Inez looked like she was about to cry.

The other girl, whose name I momentarily couldn’t
remember, whispered, “Go on, show him.”

It was a shitty thing to do. A shitty thing to show any
human being. Danielle shoved her phone in my face, and right there, filling the entire
screen, someone’s arse was being pounded by one of the thickest dicks I’d ever seen. The
sound was off, but from the way the owner of the arse was shaking, it must have bloody
hurt. Not that the guy attached to the dick seemed to care, letting his thing slide in and out
of the slick hole, which gaped and then clenched before the guy brutally shoved his dick
back in.

They were two guys, that was clear. A sculpted stomach
came into view as the bloke on the bottom was flipped over, and a curved dick bounced
against his stomach.

I realised I was blushing, my face flaming in
embarrassment. Not for me, because…it was porn. Gay porn, admittedly, but still porn. I
really wasn’t into this kind of stuff in public, and anyway, who watched porn with a bunch of
girls?

“Put that shit away before Mr Greenwood comes in and
has you thrown out. For fuck’s sake, Danielle!”

“You need to watch it to the end,” she insisted, thrusting
the phone back in my face.

“I really don’t want to.” I got up to leave, but Inez grabbed
my arm and pushed me back down.

“You should know,” she said, turning even paler. “I don’t
agree with Danielle showing it, but someone needs to tell him.”

“Tell me what?”

“No, not you. Someone needs to talk to Ryan.”

“For fuck’s sake.” I was in no way a worldly guy, but
seriously?

“Ladies, I’m sure as a gay man, Ryan knows where to find
gay porn if he feels the need. I’m not going to go tell him that you girls found gay porn on

the big ugly web and feel the need to warn him there are men out there who want to stick
their dick up his arse.”

“Who wants to stick their dick up my arse?”

That was Ryan, thank God, because I didn’t want to explain
this shit on my own.

“The girls found porn on the web, and it’s done something
to their brains.”

I was expecting him to laugh, but instead, he turned around
and left the room.

“What’s going on?” I called after him as Danielle once again
thrust the phone back in my face.

And on the screen was none other than Ryan, sticking his
tongue out with a cheeky wink before swallowing some guy’s dick down his throat.

A bad boy mechanic and a kinky accountant: can an indecent
proposal lead to love?

Blurb

Though Forrest Patton looks like a tweedy, uptight
accountant, he’s anything but. Underneath the fussy bow ties and love of color-coded
spreadsheets lies a man searching for someone to peel back the layers and fulfill his
shameful fantasies. Eavesdropping at the diner in town leads him to wonder if the local
mechanic might just be the man for the job.

Jarod Keener likes it rough, and he makes no secret of that.
But he never expects to be approached with an offer to trade accounting advice for some
dirty, risky fun. Always up for a challenge, Jarod dives in head first but Forrest doesn’t trust
anyone to give him the humiliation he needs once feelings start to get in the way.

When a secret about Jarod’s family upends everything,
Forrest will have to decide if he’s willing to give Jarod a chance to show him that he can have
love
and the kink he longs for.

Warning: Embracing His Shame includes: mild humiliation
play, small-town gossip, and two men falling in love despite their best efforts.

Excerpt

“I have a proposal for you.” Forrest squared his shoulders
and fought the urge to fuss with his bow tie. He’d figured he might as well show up in Full
Forrest Mode so Jarod would know what he was getting into. Forrest had tried to pretend he
was someone he wasn’t in the past and that had never worked out well. He was never going
to be anything but a tall, skinny cycling nut who dressed like somebody’s grandpa. He just
had to hope that would do it for Jarod.

“A proposal, huh?” Jarod smirked.

Forrest had heard plenty of rumors about Jarod since he’d
arrived in town. That he was a hell of a mechanic. That he was an unrepentant man-whore.
That he was a kinky deviant. It was the last two Forrest was really, really banking on.

“Yes.” Forrest cleared his throat, the scent of grease, oil,
and metal teasing at his nostrils again. “I’ve outlined a plan.” He stepped closer and thrust
out his hand, papers trembling a little.

Jarrod blinked down at the slightly rustling sheets. “Why
don’t ya’ spell it out for me. I don’t go much for reading.”

“Pretty sure the dog-eared Isaac Azimov book I saw you
reading at The Good Yolk the other morning says otherwise,” Forrest blurted out. He’d
spotted it on the table as he’d left last weekend. All part of the reconnaissance work he’d
done.

“Seems like you’ve been payin’ real close attention to me,”
Jarod said, raising a single eyebrow. He took a step closer and the scents of the garage were
replaced with something rich and deep. Animalistic, with hints of tobacco and cinnamon,
and something warm and sweet that lingered in Forrest’s nostrils. “Funny. I don’t know who
you are.”

“Forrest Patton.” He squared his shoulders. “I’m an
accountant in town.”

“Huh. Yeah, your name does ring a few bells. Can’t say as
I’ve ever seen you before though.” Jarod’s gaze flicked up and down his body. This morning,
Forrest wore dark green trousers, a gray cardigan, a white and gray check button down shirt,
and a bow tie he’d had to re-tie three times before it would lay flat. He tried not to squirm
as he imagined Jarod staring at him like that while he was naked.

“Well, I’ve got work to do now,” Jarod said as he turned
away and ambled toward the car, picking up a wrench of some sort along the way. At least
Forrest was pretty sure it was a wrench. “I’ll work. You talk. You can read the damn
paperwork aloud if you want.”

Damn it, that ruined Forrest’s whole approach of not
talking about things.

Jarod bent over the engine again, focused and intent as he
reached in with the tool. His hands were already a little grimy from the work he’d been
doing this morning. Shit, that was sexy too.

Forrest cleared his throat and plunged forward, trying to
regroup. “I want to do the books for your business in exchange for various kinky sexual
favors.”

Jarod straightened abruptly, his head smacking the hood of
the car with a painful-sounding thud. A moment later the metallic clatter of the wrench
hitting the concrete echoed around them.

Jarod swore as he backed up, rubbing his head. He
squinted at Forrest “
What?”

“I know you’re a Dom or Top of some sort.” Forrest lifted
his chin. “And I want you to dominate me.”

Jarod let out a noise of disbelief. “You do, do you?”

“Yes, I do.”

Unlikely of a pair as they were, Forrest was dead serious
about this. Most Doms took one look at him and assumed he was only the sweet, innocent
accountant the world saw him as. They refused to see that underneath the sweater vests
and the bow ties and the tweed was someone who longed to be treated with more than kid
gloves. Forrest was tired of polite. Tired of being treated like he was made of spun glass. He
wanted to feel shame crawling hot over his skin and revel in it. And he was convinced Jarod
was the man to do it.

“You think you have what it takes to keep up with a guy like
me?” Jarod asked. There was a dangerous glitter in his eyes that made Forrest’s breath go
shallow.

“I’m not a virgin in any sense. I’ve had sex with plenty of
men. I’m not particularly submissive but I love being forced to do something. I’ve never
found anyone who can handle what I want. I think some of the things I’ve fantasized about
would make even
you think twice,” he said defiantly.

“Alright, I’ll admit, you have me curious.” Jarod stepped up
into his space, clearly trying to intimidate him. Forrest squared his shoulders, refusing to
back down. “Tell me what you want. What makes your motor rev?”

“Humiliation,” Forrest said. His heart thumped in his chest
as he said the words aloud. “Degradation. The dirtier the better. I want you to

use
me.”

“Well, well, well,” Jarod drawled as a slow smile spread
over his face. “Who’d have thought Pendleton Bay’s accountant was such a filthy
fuck?”

Even those relatively tame words sent heat spiraling
through Forrest. His knees went weak, his palms got sweaty, and his cock twitched in
anticipation of what was to come. Oh yes, this was exactly what he’d been looking for.

“You ready to find out just how deep that filth goes?”
Forrest asked, lifting his chin.

Jarod chuckled and grabbed his hair, sending stinging pain
through Forrest’s body that settled low in his groin, throbbing in time with his heartbeat.

“Oh, I’m ready. But I think you may have bitten off more
than you can chew, boy,” Jarod said and the warning in his voice sent another thrill through
Forrest’s body.

Forrest titled his head defiantly. “Try me.”

Before I convinced him to indulge in one night of pleasure

Excerpt

This excerpt is from Cooper’s perspective. He’s just headed out to meet an app
hookup, and neither of them have any idea what they’re about to walk into.

I headed to the B&B where my hookup was staying. Luckily, it was within walking
distance. I took a shortcut across campus, jogging over the lawn alongside one of the
sorority houses, cutting behind the campus bookstore, and jumping a low, stone fence that
circled the grounds. That took me into Hayworth House’s backyard. As a former frat house,
the B&B was barely outside campus proper—and only two minutes from where I lived
on frat row.

Circling the house, I hesitated at the front door only a few seconds before walking in like I
owned the place. If it was a B&B, they must have guests coming and going, but it still
felt strange stepping into a house that wasn’t mine. I spotted the staircase right away,
thankful I wouldn’t have to wander around calling out for a guy I only knew by
Daddy or his handle, SeasonedBeefcake. The name was a little
cringey, but I couldn’t deny this guy had some definite beefcake cred despite his age.

A man emerged from the living room, and I froze. I knew instantly he wasn’t my hookup; his
body type was all wrong, unless my Beefcake had done some serious
photoshopping on his profile pics.

“Can I help you?”

I smiled sheepishly. “I know where I’m going.” I waved toward the second floor. “Here to see
a…friend.”

One eyebrow arched as he looked me over. I was wearing sweats and a worn T. I’d thought
about dressing up, but why bother if I was just gonna take the clothes off?

“Go on then,” he said.

I wasted no time, jogging my way to the top and heading straight for the second door. It was
closed. My hookup had told me to let myself in, so once again, I skipped knocking and
strolled in bold as brass.

The room appeared to be empty. Huh.

I checked my phone. Yep. I was in the right place. The man must be around somewhere.
Maybe in the bathroom or down in the kitchen grabbing a drink. After a cursory look around
the nicely appointed room, I decided to go ahead and set the mood for when he returned. I
hadn’t had a hookup quite like him in a long while. I wasn’t too picky about my matches; if
someone wanted to hook up, I was down for some fun. It’s not as if I were trying to make a
love connection. I’d fucked around with slender guys, curvy women, and everything in
between.

But this guy…

Well, I had to admit that the thought of big, strong hands manhandling me was tripping my
trigger big time.

I tugged my shirt over my head, deciding I’d rather not make a first impression with the ratty
material. I could let my skin do the talking. I pushed my sweats down—just a little—and
stilled at the sound of the door opening behind me.

A moment later, a heavy, damp body pressed up against my back. “You getting started
without me?” he murmured.

“Thought I might have to,” I said. “I was all alone with this hard dick.”

He chuckled. “Well, we can’t have that.”

I thought he’d grab my cock immediately, but he stepped back. I turned my head, just
enough to confirm he was every inch the daddy type I’d imagined: tall, broad, solid—and
wrapped in nothing but a towel. Yum.

His large hands dwarfed my shoulders, and I shivered as he slowly mapped the shape of me.
His touch was light as he traced down my spine with one hand and glided his other around
to my abs, caressing so lightly just beneath my navel that it almost tickled—and instantly
made my cock throb with jealousy.

I made a needy sound, surprising myself. I enjoyed sex, sure. I had plenty of opportunity
with a full campus of horny students. But I wasn’t usually this affected. My nerves fired up
under his touch, goosebumps rushing across my skin.

“Patience,” he said. “We’ll get there. You young guys are all rush, rush, rush. Let me enjoy
this amazing body of yours…”

Instinctively, I pressed my ass back, feeling the prod of his dick. He grunted and smacked the
top of my exposed right cheek. “None of that.”

I jerked a little at the smack, but it barely stung. Something about the way he was taking
control did it for me, my body thrumming as I moaned playfully. “Yes, Daddy.”

“Good boy,” he said, sounding amused, but more than willing to indulge my little fantasy. I
hadn’t ever experimented with daddy kink beyond watching a few porn videos with the
theme, but something about this guy screamed Daddy. It felt right to let him
take control, right to try to please him.

Finally, something I can do right.

Pushing my sweats down a little farther, he cupped my ass, squeezing it and making a
pleased, rumbling sound. I really wasn’t as fit as some guys. Too much snacking, too little
time in the gym. But I was young, and I had good genes. I was sending up thanks that my
body didn’t disappoint when he paused.

“This scar…” He traced a jagged line that extended from my ribs to my lower back. “I knew
someone with a scar like this. It was from a—”

“Skateboard accident,” we both said at the same time.

I’d fallen into an old fence, and it’d torn me to hell. I’d had to get stitches, and the scar never
entirely faded.

He inhaled sharply. “Cooper?”

I answered on reflex. “Yeah, who—”

Rutledge?

He lifted his hands off me as if I’d burned him, taking a quick step back, his voice full of a
horror that disoriented me. One moment everything was finally going right, and the next, he
was leaping away from me.

I turned, taking a closer look at him. Dark hair, gorgeous beard, but those eyes…

My heart lurched, then skipped with an excited flutter. It couldn’t be, could it? But it was. I
saw it written all over his face. Before me, looking like the daddy of my wet dreams, was a
man I hadn’t seen in over ten years—my father’s best friend from our hometown.

“Trace?”

Submission series is an age gap (25/35) M/M
Romance with HFN. The first book contains fake boyfriends and friends to lovers.

Excerpt

Chapter 1

Caden

I’ve seen men, great-looking men. Some average, some tall,
beautiful, handsome men, but I never thought much of it. However, when I laid eyes on
Grayle Meadows for the first time, I knew I’d missed a lot in my life.

The day I first caught sight of that man, I knew he was out
of my league, but hey, foolishness and dreams are for young men, and I was going to dream
until something, or someone woke me. However, it wasn’t happening today, because today
my eyes were feasting on Grayle Meadows—hair perfect, eyes blue, face magnificent, suit
perfect, wide muscular shoulders, thin waist, and he was stunning.

All man, and I saw him first.

I’d like to think I was the first to see Grayle. However, it was
delusion on my part. I was sure there were many who laid eyes on this beautiful,
handsome-looking man before I’d entered the picture called life.

He appeared to be ten years my senior, therefore, to say
others had seen him first had to be inadequate, and superfluous. In other words,
unnecessary to say the least, because there was the likelihood that his mother and father
saw him long before I did. Maybe a brother or sister or two could claim that trophy if they
were giving them out for who spotted the handsome, sensuous, blue-eyed Grayle Meadows
first.

I’d throw in my medal for him being the sexiest, and most

compelling man alive. I was sure he could have any woman, or man, if that was his choice,
but I wanted him to pick me, and why not? I was young, gay, and available. Willing to go the
distance if it called for that. He exuded sex in the way no other man could. He didn’t just
walk, his steps measured, he sailed across the floor with no wind at his back, and when he
spoke it was with a low raspy baritone voice.

I’d gladly hand over a medal, but no one could claim that
they saw him the way I’d pictured him in my mind, then in my dreams, and how he’d
invaded my senses when he first strolled into the shop where I’d worked every summer
since my parents allowed me to have a summer job.

I smelled his manly scent among all the customers standing
at the counter waiting to be served. When I spotted him with his beautiful, strong face, deep
intense eyes, I knew he was the man for me, and he’d be my first and only love.

I dropped what I was doing and rushed over, elbowed one
of my fellow workers, and my best friend Lane, took the scoop from his hand, and I stood
waiting for my first and only to open those full lips, and tell me what he wanted—a blowjob
from me, or a piece of my firm, hard, young ass.

Name it. I’m here to please, I thought, wearing a wide smile.

I looked over at Lane. “Who is he? I saw him first.”

“His name is Grayle Meadows.”

I pushed Lane aside and stared at him, daring him to say a
word, or take a step in Grayle’s direction, because he was mine, and I had dibs on him.

Grayle leaned over, trying to decide on which vanilla flavor
to order, and I couldn’t help but take in his scent on this hot false-spring day. Not even the
heavenly smell of chocolate, strawberry ice cream, and lime sherbet could dull my senses,
because his shaving lotion had overtaken me along with the flash of his big blue eyes, and
his dark-auburn curly hair. It was a bad hair day for me, but not Grayle Meadows. I doubted
he’d ever had a bad hair day or anything else, because there wasn’t enough heat and wind
in the world to disturb and disrupt that full mane of beautiful shiny hair.

I watched his large hands move to his hair, and his long
fingers raked through it as he bent once more to look at all the flavors, and when he raised
his head, his eyes locked with mine. He smiled and moved on. My heart lurched and my
cock twitched. He was my first. Never had I had that feeling about anyone before where my
dick involuntarily set off a firestorm that had gotten out of control.

About the Author

Hi, I’m Sky

McCoy.

I write steamy M/M romance
books, and I love to read hot M/M romance. Maybe steamy is too mild a term for my books.
Maybe I should say that my gay romance books are hot, hot, hot. I enjoy writing about
strong, flawed men who don’t mind saying they’re sorry when they hurt the ones they
love.

I read and write across
genres and what gives me pleasure, and there is nothing more pleasurable or satisfying to
me than to write a happy ever after hot M/M romance with a kink or two.

My favorite books to read are
anything M/M, vampires, werewolves, mystery, and steamy romance. I have been busy with
reading and writing to bring you the best M/M romance books. Enjoy!

In order to stay alive, Bray
and Sam must appear to be lovers.

What happens when
pretending becomes too real?

Blurb

When Brayden stumbles into a covert operation, Sam has
to keep him alive. Together they navigate their unexpected attraction and the world of the
Ukrainian mafia.

Brayden Hart needs to find his older brother Mason and
time is running out. Mason disappeared after being discharged from the military two years
before. While on leave from the army, Bray follows a lead his friend has been able to find.
When he knocks on the door of a dingy apartment outside Miami, the last person he
expects to meet is the gorgeous but grumpy Sam Wheeler.

Sam denies knowing Bray’s brother and turns him away.
But Sam is Bray’s only lead. Luckily, Bray’s childhood friend is one of the best hackers in the
country and helps Bray follow Sam to Ukraine.

In Kiev, Bray falls blindly into the fray of a covert operation
and Sam steps in to keep him alive. While navigating the choppy waters of the Ukrainian
mafia, Bray and Sam fall into the bedroom. But what happens when the mission
ends?

Excerpt

“I’ll let you relax,” Sam said as he stood.

“Don’t go. You said I couldn’t sleep. I want to relax, but if
you keep me talking, I won’t fall asleep.”

With a nod, Sam backed away and sat on the closed toilet.
From there, he could only see Bray from the shoulders up.
Much less of a temptation.

“This feels amazing. The warmth is seeping into my bones.
Today definitely didn’t turn out how I thought it would.”

Sam snorted. “Ditto. I thought I was in for a fairly mundane
business trip.”

Bray reached for the little soap provided by the hotel but
flinched. Sam jumped up to get it for him. He tried not to look at Bray’s lower half, but his
eyes caught on the bruises.

“Are they getting worse?” Sam asked.

“I’d only worry if it hurt to breathe. You’re quite the mother

hen, Sam Wheeler.”

Sam looked up at the sound of his alias. The last name
sounded so wrong coming from Bray’s mouth, but the kid was smiling like he was proud of
himself. Sam found himself smiling back until his gaze fell once again to the black-and-blue
marks on Bray’s abs.

“I feel responsible,” he murmured as he returned to sit on
the toilet lid.

“You couldn’t have stopped me. I did my best to hide the
fact I was following you.”

“Next time I’ll remember to have one of my men sit on
you.”

Bray’s eyes went wide.

“Not like that. Don’t get all offended. I meant trail you,
make sure you don’t leave the States.”

“I want to apologize,” Bray said. “I’ve caused you a lot of
trouble today with your…associates and I didn’t mean to. You don’t know how relieved I was
to see you walk into that room. I knew you’d come for me.”

Sam wasn’t sure how true that last sentence was, but he
was sure the rest was true. The look in Bray’s eyes made Sam uncomfortable.

“Don’t look at me like I’m some hero, Bray.”

“You’re a good man, Sam Wheeler. I knew it right away, and
today, you proved it.”

“I didn’t prove anything. My business is about as dark as
you can get. I’m not a good man.”

“You are to me. I might be naïve, but I think that counts for
something.”

“Don’t see pixie dust where there is none. It wouldn’t
behoove me to have left you there at their mercy. I had selfish reasons for getting you out of
there.”

“I’m sure you did.” Bray smiled.

Maybe he was getting too into his role, but that smile was
one of both indulgent patience and dirty little nymph. It was a smile one boyfriend would
give another and Sam hated how much he loved looking at it.

written a different way. She began writing again and hasn’t stopped since.

When she’s not writing, Rae

If they could stop arguing
for a hot second . . . they just might fall in love.

Blurb

Gabriel Moretti and Sean Cooper should be friends. They’re
both passionate about serving delicious food to their customers. They both love to kick back

with the other food truck owners at the collective they’ve joined. But maybe it’s possible to
have too much in common . . .

Especially when they’ve chosen the exact same
name for their food trucks.

Gabriel and Sean know that one of them will have
to change the name. The only question is, who’s willing to give in first?

It’s inevitable that with such a difficult decision,
their tempers flare. But to their shock, their deeply-buried chemistry ignites too. Could it be
that for them fighting is actually flirting, and what they really crave is each other?

Excerpt

“Someone’s name needs to change by September first,” Tony said. “That’s the first home
game at the Coliseum,” he added, referring to the home football stadium of the University
of Southern California—the lot was situated only a few blocks away from the stadium
entrance, and they already knew on game days, they’d be overwhelmed.

“Alright,” Sean said. “We’ll figure something out.” That gave them a little over a month to
either make a decision—or kill each other. Whichever came first.

Tony stood. “Good luck,” he said. “I’ll be around if you decide you need a referee.” And then
he was gone, leaving the two of them alone.

Sean couldn’t remember a time they’d ever been alone. Their friends had probably gone out
of their way to make sure of that. Not sure if anything would still be left standing if it was
just the two of them.

“Not for this,” Gabriel said, and the underlying intensity—the intimacy—in his
voice made Sean’s hand freeze on his beer bottle.

He glanced up, and Gabriel was staring at him, those dark eyes reflecting his tone. More
than once during the last two years, Sean had been reminded of his very first reaction to
Gabriel.

Tall. Big. Broad. Beautiful.

It had been the first time since Milo that he’d seen a guy and felt that instantaneous
moment of attraction. Then Gabriel had opened his mouth, and the moment was gone, but
it had existed.

Sean often remembered it at the worst possible times. Like right now.

“So,” Sean said, clearing his throat. Trying not to think of how dark the corner of the bar
was, how the flickering candle on the table was reflected in Gabriel’s eyes. How the light
turned his face into a Renaissance masterpiece. “How are we going to do this?”

“All business,” Gabriel teased, but the edge of his voice was almost . . . sweet.
Like he thought Sean’s attempt to be professional wasn’t annoying, but cute.

Something that Sean never expected from Gabriel was sweetness.

“Did we have something else we needed to talk about that isn’t business?” Sean
wondered.

“No, but we have time. Over a month,” Gabriel said, taking a sip of his beer. “What’s the
rush? Maybe we’ll negotiate better if we get to know each other first.”

“You mean that you want to charm me first so that you’ll get the upper hand.” He didn’t
really think that was true—Gabriel could be difficult and frustrating and slippery, but Sean
wasn’t sure that he’d do something so underhanded. He wasn’t a bad guy. Sean
had learned that much by watching his friendship with Tony and Lucas and Ash and Tate
blossom.

Even their own relationship, while still combative, had lost the sharper edges in the last few
months.

Gabriel shrugged. “The best negotiation is one where we both get what we want.”

“I’m not sure how we can do that,” Sean admitted. “We both want the same thing.”

“Do we?”

Sean made a frustrated noise. “You know we do. We’ve wanted the same goddamn thing for
the last two years, and you even threw a meatball at my chest to try to get me to cave. So
don’t start, okay? I’m not stupid. I know exactly what you’re after.”

“Do you?” Gabriel’s mouth curved into something dangerous. Or maybe that was the
unwanted attraction to him blooming inside Sean.

“You want to win,” Sean said.

“Maybe we can figure out a way we can both win,” Gabriel suggested.

“Based on what I know we want, I find that hard to believe,” Sean said. Then
hesitated. This was exactly why Tony hadn’t wanted to leave them alone. Had wanted to
play referee. He hadn’t thought they could do this on their own. Maybe he was right. But
then, they’d never actually tried either.

Gabriel drained the rest of his beer and set it on the table with a decisive click. “I need more
alcohol for this,” he muttered, standing up. “You want something?”

Blurb

Brandon and Tyler have been together for five years and
things have gotten stale. Tyler’s career has taken off while Brandon is struggling to make his
mark in the world of journalism. With Tyler away on assignments so often, Brandon is left to
cope with his loneliness. In the meantime, flames from the past come to heat up the scene
and cause problems for Brandon and Tyler.

Excerpt

Down in Mobile at my parent’s house, we sat around the
breakfast table as my dad paraded around with his ‘kiss the chef’ apron on, a pile of
pancakes in one hand and a pile of sausage patties in the other hand.

“How’s the job going, Brandon?” my mom asked. She sat so
poised with both hands clasped around her coffee mug. Tatianna was away at Spelman
College in Atlanta. She’d kill me if she knew I came home without her.

“It’s going.”

“Oh that’s all?” my Dad asked. “You mean to tell me after
$55,678 on a bachelors and an MBA all your career is doing is going?” he concluded. He sat
down with us to have breakfast.

“Dad, don’t start.” I was not in the mood for a lecture. I
looked like I didn’t want to be bothered with the conversation. I reached for a plate as if he
didn’t say anything at all.

“What did I say that was so wrong? I mean, son, you
apparently are not happy. I’d just hate to see all of your effort, ahem, and our money go to
waste. Tyler seems to be doing quite well for himself, always on CNN in the evening. That
boy is sharp as a tack, I tell ya.” He got up from the table to refill his coffee.

“Should I have Tyler start being the one to visit you guys
from now on?” I asked sarcastically. I was in no mood to hear my Dad bragging about Tyler.
He seemed to have had some type of bromance with Tyler ever since he first met him. And
to think, I was afraid he would be all shitty acting to meet a boyfriend of mine for the first
time. Boy was I wrong. Those fools sat down in that man cave all day and night watching
football and drinking Budweiser. They both are Saints fans. That’s all that was needed to get
a bond started, and with Tyler being a frat guy, it was nothing for him to have the type of
connection he managed to make with my dad. My dad even got Tyler into drinking bourbon
and smoking cigars. Tyler always did know how to click with straight men. He’s such a boy. I
think I was happier about my parents really being so open about welcoming my life,
especially after they had told me before that they didn’t want to see any of my boyfriends
coming around. I was grateful for growth. To think, they put me out for being gay in high
school, and look at how God changed it. I was so, so thankful but it irritated me how they
would fawn all over Tyler.

“You must still have some jetlag. Your attitude is on ten
today, baby,” my mom replied as she reached for a pancake.

“I apologize. Yes, life hasn’t been all too happy for me
lately. Tyler is always at work and I’m always having to do these boring stories. It’s just not
how I thought things would turn out for me. I’m almost thirty. Something has to change, I
just know it.” My dad was coming back from the coffee pot. He stood by my chair and put

his hand on my shoulder.

So Close, Yet so Far
Away

Blurb

Engaged couple Zakarias and Julian are convinced nothing
can separate them…until a global pandemic hits. Zakarias catches the virus with mild

symptoms and isolates in the couple’s guest house. The few meters dividing them might as
well be the moon as he watches Julian, an ICU nurse, work himself to the bone, unable to
support him the way he needs. Frustration and worry build as the weeks pass. Will Zakarias
be declared healthy before Julian burns out?

Excerpt

When we’d just bought it, we spent many long evenings
making plans and discussing options. We’d share a bottle of wine and make long lists of
things we wanted, things we deemed necessary in what was going to be our forever home.
The lists started outrageously—
a wine cellar
bigger than the actual house with an employee who turns the bottles? Really,
Zakarias?—
but distilled into a few reasonable
items. So Julian’s dream of the biggest bathroom in the northern
hemisphere—
a Bath Palace, Zakarias, not a
bathroom
—complete with a pool, a jacuzzi, a
sauna, and every other imaginable luxury, turned into a more feasible sized room with a
fancy walk-in shower and a separate bathtub with jets—both of them big enough to
accommodate the two of us. It also has a heated floor and double sinks. And my favorite
feature; the tiny lights over the bathtub, sprinkled in the ceiling like a starry sky.

We both love the house; it’s our sanctuary. Every design
element is chosen for comfort and to make it feel like a real home. Like someplace we can
be ourselves. Someplace we can grow old together.

There are things left to do on the house before we’re happy
with it, and we still spend evenings on the couch, sipping wine and making lists. Evenings
that more often than not turn into heavy make-out sessions on the couch, with clothes
being torn off and strewn about. Evenings that end with us panting in a sticky mess and
blissed-out grins on our faces, but without deciding what to do with whatever room we’re
considering remodeling at the time. “The discussion is half the fun,” he’ll say with sparkling
eyes, and my mouth agrees, while I’m thinking
the discussion is all the fun, because I
could live in a tiny shack in the forest and be happy as long as he lived there with
me.

But this house…it’s not just a house, it’s a home.
Our home and I miss it.

I miss coming home from work and finding Julian sprawled
on the couch in only his underwear, watching some horrid reality show or other on the big
screen TV. I miss waking up early on weekends and preparing luxury breakfasts for him, miss
how the scent of freshly baked bread never fails to wake him and lure him out of bed. I miss

the adorable sight of him stumbling into the kitchen, bleary-eyed, hair in disarray with pillow
creases on his cheek and dried drool on his chin. I miss how he beelines for me like a
heat-seeking missile and winds himself around me, burying his face in my neck, snaking his
arms around me, and tapping three times over my heart.

His family came up with that code when he was little; his
younger sister was born with a genetic developmental disorder and never learned to speak,
so three taps to the heart meant “I love you.” She died when she was only five, but the
family keeps her memory alive with that gesture. It was how Julian told me he loved me for
the first time. I didn’t understand it at the time, but when he told me the story, I realized
he’d been telling me he loved me long before the words were spoken out loud.

I straighten my spine. Shake my head at my moment of
weakness before marching back to the guesthouse and pulling a sweater over my head. I
pour out the cold forgotten contents of my mug and pour fresh, steaming coffee into it.

Then I sit, take a sip, and breathe.
